Google has expanded Gemini well beyond a general-purpose conversational assistant. Current Google AI plans include AI Plus, AI Pro, and AI Ultra, with different levels of access to Gemini models, Deep Research, creative tools, storage, and other Google services.
Gemini has continued adding agent capabilities. Gemini Spark can carry out tasks on a user's behalf, and Google is adding more ways for Gemini to work with connected apps and services.
Google has also continued advancing the Gemini model family. Recent releases include Gemini 3.7 Flash, while Gemini 3.1 Pro remains available for more demanding reasoning and other complex tasks.
What this means:
Gemini is increasingly connected to the larger Google ecosystem. For someone who already uses Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Calendar, and other Google services, that integration may be an important part of the decision about whether Gemini is the right assistant.
